Broadcast on BBC ALBA in September 2013, Honeyballers tells the incredible story of the pioneering Scottish women who fought against adversity to develop women’s football.

The programme provides an insight into the key figures of the women’s game, a remarkable journey which saw the early icons battle against discrimination to establish the game on a world scale, paving the way for the current national side who are aiming to qualify for the Women’s World Cup in 2015.

Featuring interviews with managers, players and experts like Anna Signeul, Kim Little, Caroline Weir, Jen Beattie and Emma Mitchell, this is a compelling story of Scottish women’s football and its determined fight for survival.
